There is a good writeup in Fortune.com today about the joint venture between Fox and NBC called Hulu. It talks about how the venture is trying to get off the ground and how they plan to survive. I didn’t give this idea much hope seeing that the head of NBC Universal Zucker decided to declare war on Apple by creating this service. I thought it would be ridden with ads and propritary video viewing software. The service so far has been given decent reviews by the press…and I have been waiting to get invited to the Beta. It seems like my wait won’t be much longer as it is expected to be released to the public sometime this week or next. What I thought was interesting was the fact that the supplied videos are not just restricted to NBC and Fox, but there are several shows from ABC and other affliates on there for viewing. What Really Grinds My Gears!

This is just a sidebar on the daily things that annoy me in life. I know this idea is taken from a show which some think is "Shallow and Pedantic" but I find rather amusing :)

4/8/08:Today's rant is about the weathermen. Look I understand it is not an exact science, but for the past three days you are 0-3. Where is the sun and 60 degree weather you have forcasted for the past three days? It's almost like the movie Groundhog Day, instead of sun and 60 degrees the same day of rain and temps in the 40s have repeated themselves...Get it together folks!

4/1/08: April Fools Day is one of the dumbest days of the year. It seems this year more than others in the past people have created foolish postings, or dumb webpages trying to make us all crazed, but really all it does is annoy me. I wish we had Feb 29th every year and could have April Fools only every 4 years...it would be better for everyone involved.

10/11/07: People, the indoor track at the rec center is for walking and running...NOT A PLACE TO HOLD SOCIAL HOUR. You dumb teenie-boppers need to get out of the way before someone gets hurt...intentionally.

9/07/07: Look, enough with the construction...There is one two lane road from C'burg to Radford...you are already replacing a bridge...who thought it was a good idea to start paving the same time there is a major road closure??? way to go VDOT...or whoever is responsible...If you are going to pave the road you might as well pave the whole darn thing and not dig up the road so you can patch it...geeze

8/30/07: Seriously, when you leave a message with someone...or lets say three messages for someone, how come it is so difficult for them to call you back? I got a leak in my house...I need them to fix it...FREAKING CALL ME BACK!

8/26/07: Today's is having to deal with the idiots that drive down the road and completely lose touch with reality! They don't pay attention to what they are doing, or the cars around them. Like the woman I had to follow for 8 miles this morning going 30 in a 55 while she was smoking and trying to do her makeup...GET OFF THE ROAD!
